The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has introduced a significant one-time opportunity to help companies regularize their pending statutory filings.
At MDVB and Associates, we are committed to assisting your business in navigating these new provisions to minimize your compliance costs and ensure your company remains in good legal standing.
The Compliance Challenge
Under standard regulations, a delay in filing annual returns and financial statements incurs an additional fee of Rs. 100 per day, with no upper limit. For many businesses, this has created a substantial financial burden. The CCFS-2026 aims to alleviate this pressure by offering heavily reduced fees.
Key Benefits Under Companies Compliance Facilitation Scheme CCFS-2026
Under this scheme (Companies Compliance Facilitation Scheme, 2026), your company has three primary avenues for relief:
Regularize Pending Filings: You can complete your pending annual filings by paying only 10% of the total additional fees that have accrued due to the delay.
Opt for Dormant Status: If your company is currently inactive, you can apply for "dormant" status (via e-form MSC-1) by paying just half (50%) of the normal filing fee.
Apply for Strike-Off: Entities wishing to officially close can file for strike-off (via e-form STK-2) by paying only 25% of the applicable filing fees.
Important Timeline 📅
Scheme Commencement: April 15, 2026.
Scheme Closure: July 15, 2026.
Immunity from Penalties
A major advantage of CCFS-2026 is the protection it offers. By fulfilling your filing requirements under this scheme, your company will be granted immunity from penalties related to these delayed filings, provided the filings are made either before receiving an adjudication notice or within 30 days of its issuance.
Important Note: Upon the conclusion of the scheme on July 15, 2026, the Registrar of Companies is directed to initiate necessary legal action against companies that remain in default of their filing obligations.
